Youth Services

Rotary is involved in sponsoring youth in different ways and organising a varied range of competitions such as the Young Musician, Young Speaker, Young Writer, Young Photographer and Youth Leadership award .We also organise our own Youth Makes Music concert providing schoolchildren with the opportunity to perform to a live audience.

The club also supports The Epping Forest South 18th Scout Group and The Race Running Project,providing specially built bicycles to allow the disabled the opportunity to experience the freedom of cycling. We have supported Kids Out, a charity providing entertainment for youngsters from various schools and assisted The Lambourne Centre in Chigwell,an activity centre for disadvantaged youngsters.

We  have worked with Trinity and West Hatch schools as well as providing support to St Johns School behind the Chigwell Convent where we meet. Belmont School is another school for children with special problems and we recognise the patience and strength of the teachers by providing small Christmas presents to the teaching staff who work in stressful surroundings.

We also support ad hoc needs when we are approached by young people raising money to work on sponsored aid work overseas.
