The Club's international scholar last year was Tom Kim. Currently studying in New York, Tom files this report on his activities. After leaving London, I was able to spend a few weeks in Korea with my family before coming to NY to begin medical school. I just finished my first semester of school last week, where we learned a lot of the basic anatomy and clinical skills in lecture and in the dissection labs. So far learning medicine has certainly been challenging due to the sheer amount of material we are responsible for, but it also feels really rewarding to finally be learning the knowledge I'll be using directly to treat my future patients.
